Things to do in Barbados

Beaches:  The west coast of Barbados is often referred to as the "Platinum Coast" and is renowned for the clear warm waters that lap gently onto golden sands. This coast is ideal for your Caribbean vacation whether it’s a family holiday or a romantic getaway. There are several magnificent beaches along this coast. Each of these beaches you will find the calm azure waters of the Caribbean Sea that are perfect for swimming and clean coral sands on which to relax and soak up the brilliant Caribbean sunshine. However, on the East Coast of Barbados huge Atlantic waves crash along the shore and these beaches are better suited for walking and sunning.

Attractions:  Although Barbados is a relatively small island there is much to explore so you should consider renting a car during your Barbados vacation. Discover some of the wonderful and exciting attractions Barbados has to offer. Welchman Hall Gully is a must see attraction for nature lovers. Cruises and choose swimming with turtles, snorkelling, fishing or diving or unforgettable undersea expedition. An island tour is an excellent way to explore Barbados. Shopping:  From chattel villages to air-conditioned malls, Barbados offers a varied shopping experience, with high-quality, tax-free merchandise, excellent service by friendly and knowledgeable sales staff, and comfortable, air-conditioned stores. Shopping in Barbados truly is just beyond your imagination. Duty-free shopping is especially popular, with prices typically being 30 to 50% less than in Europe and North America. When making duty-free purchases be sure to have your passport or airline ticket with you. Your packages can be delivered to the airport or sea port for your convenience.

Barbados night life: Barbados nightclubs feature live entertainment most nights of the week. Most bands play local music, calypso and reggae, but there are several excellent R & B bands that play top international music, sometimes with a Caribbean beat, the Whistling Frog's party nights with a street party, Karaoke and live bands to entertain you.

Dining: There is an abundance of fine restaurants on the island that offer local cuisine, seafood and continental cuisine. The wide range of dining options available in Barbados ensures that there is something to suit every taste and budget. By day informal attire is acceptable in most Barbados restaurants, but at night a more formal dress code is enforced. It is also recommended that dinner reservations be made in advance, especially during the winter.
