world. The region consist of the Caribbean Sea, its islands and the surrounding
coasts. Situated largely on the Caribbean Plate, the region comprises more than
7,000 islands, islets, reefs, and cays.
The geography and climate in the Caribbean region varies.
However, the region enjoys year-round
sunshine, divided into 'dry' and 'wet' seasons, with the last six months of the
year being wetter than the first half.
Some islands in the region have
relatively flat terrain while others possess rugged
towering mountain ranges like the islands
of Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and Jamaica.
Year after year, millions travel
to the small, scenic islands of the Caribbean. World-renowned for their mile
after mile of bleach-white sand , unearthly blue waters, fruity rum drinks
and spices that make the region famous.
Caribbean travel offers so many different kinds of culture and
